The Skin Health Institute will be conducting the Advanced targeted therapies masterclass series for nurses online from the 20th of September through to the 8th of November 2022. The course is led by Sue Anderson, Clinical Nurse Consultant – Advanced targeted therapies education lead at the Skin Health Institute.
Each session has been reviewed and updated to ensure the most up-to-date information is provided in this rapidly changing area of advanced therapeutics. The course will be conducted online via Zoom in seven 45-minute sessions held weekly each Tuesday, commencing on the 20th of September. Each of the 45-minute sessions will commence at 12.30pm, a typical lunchtime period for convenient access and participation by dermatology nurses.
Nurses completing the course will be issued with a statement of completion by the Skin Health Institute to mark attendance for CPD points. Only those participating in all sessions will be issued the statement.

All sessions will be recorded and accessible on our Advanced Therapeutics Education Portal. You will still receive a statement of completion if you miss a live session and watch the video instead.

SUE ANDERSON CNC, ADVANCED THERAPIES EDUCATION LEAD
Sue Anderson is a Clinical Nurse Consultant working at the Skin Health Institute, St Vincent’s Hospital and Austin Hospital in Melbourne. She has been working for over 13 years in the specialist clinics for dermatology biologics. In her role as a biologics nurse, she assists patients to navigate their treatment options working with the medical team and her nursing colleagues and provides support and education to her patients.

You will receive an email confirming your registration as soon as you register. Closer to the date of the course commencement, the Institute will provide you with your unique login, and the URL for you to access and participate in the course. That email will provide all the information you will need, together with other information to assist.
To access the course, you will need to login using a computer with camera and microphone. (Most laptops have those facilities. You could even use a smartphone.) Please ensure that you have the latest version of Zoom installed and that you have good internet access. The sessions will be recorded and you will receive access to the recordings after each event.
