After 7 years of running annual Patch Test Training Days, Associate Professor Rosemary Nixon AM and her team at the Occupational Dermatology Research and Education Centre at the Skin Health Institute have compiled a package of patch testing talks. These comprise a selection of case studies, lectures and videos presented at Patch Test Training Days held between 2014 and the most recent meeting held online in October 2020.
These talks cover a range of topics, including what to test for in a range of clinical scenarios, how to make a diagnosis, assessing the relevance of reactions, the importance of testing the Australian Baseline Series, educating patients, practical patch testing tips and interesting clinical case studies.
The package consists of 50 presentations, 22 cases and 6 videos. It will be of particular interest to registrars, users of Contact Allergen Bank Australia and those new to patch testing.
