Keynote SPEAKER

Professor Connie Katelaris MBBS PhD FRACP 

Professor Connie Katelaris is the head of unit for Immunology and Allergy at Campbelltown hospital and Professor of Immunology and Allergy at Western Sydney University. She also has a busy private consultant practice in Westmead.
Professor Connie Katelaris was previously the President of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, President of the Asian Pacific Association of Allergology, Asthma and Clinical Immunology and she has also held executive positions on the World Allergy Organisation Board. Connie has a special clinical interest in all aspects of allergic diseases in children and adults, and her research interests include aerobiological surveys, latex allergy, drug allergy, food allergy, clinical trials in ocular disorders, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, asthma and hereditary angioedema.


Associate Professor  PETER FOLEY  MBBS, BMEDSC, FACD

Associate Professor Peter Foley is a clinical dermatologist and has a wealth of experience in dermatology, particularly in the treatment of psoriasis. He is Australia’s only Councillor on the International Psoriasis Council and served on the steering committee of GRAPPA (Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis). 

In addition to holding the position of Associate Professor with the Department of Medicine (Dermatology) at The University of Melbourne, Assoc. Prof Foley is also the Director of Research at the Skin Health Institute and Head, Dermatology Research at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. He is a visiting dermatologist at the Photobiology, Phototherapy and Biologics Clinics at St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and the Phototherapy and Biologics Clinics at the Skin Health Institute. 

As the Director of Research, Assoc. Prof Foley directs the Institute's rapidly expanding clinical trials program and is co-convenor of the Australasian Psoriasis Registry. To date, he has been an author on well over 100 peer-reviewed publications, including the reports of many of the pivotal trials on biologics in psoriasis. Assoc. Prof Foley is regarded globally as one of the leading experts on psoriasis and has been an investigator in over 100 clinical trials, including many exploring new therapies for psoriasis.
