Professor Stephen Hall MBBS (Hons), FACD
Prof Stephen Hall is a Rheumatologist at Cabrini Medical Centre and Medical Director of Emeritus Research in Melbourne. Prof Hall founded Emeritus Research in 2000, which has coordinated and conducted over 200 clinical trials to date.
Prof Hall completed his Bachelor of Medical Science in 1974 and his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1977 at Monash University in Melbourne. He was a fellow in rheumatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota from 1982 to 1984 and is a fellow at the Royal Australian College of Physicians in Sydney. For eight years, Stephen directed the training of rheumatologists throughout Australia via the Royal Australian College of Physicians Specialist Accreditation Committee. Prof Hall has also held positions in Rheumatology at many of Melbourne's hospitals, including Prince Henry’s Hospital, the Alfred Hospital, Dandenong Hospital and Box Hill Hospital, where he was Head of the Rheumatology Unit.
Prof Hall has published widely on all aspects of rheumatic disease and maintains a strong interest in general Medicine. He has led some 250 clinical trials and is fascinated by new advances in medicine and what they may offer those who suffer from various medical conditions.
