The Skin Health Institute is located on the corner of Queensberry St and Drummond St in Carlton. Ample paid parking is available at the Melbourne Museum located in nearby Rathdowne Street.
The nearest train station is Parliament Station (circled in blue on the map below). The nearest tram stops are Swanston St/Queensberry St (routes 1,3,5,6,16,64,67,72; circled in red) and Melbourne Museum/Nicholson St (routes 86 and 96; circled in green).

We are unable to respond to any requests for information regarding any particular skin issue that you or a family member may have. For advice on treatments or procedures, we recommend speaking to your medical practitioner, who may be able to provide you with a referral to one of our specialists or clinics.

The Skin Health Institute only treats patients over 18 years of age. For child services, please contact your local dermatologist.

We provide world-class clinical care for our patients. Patients are reminded that highly qualified doctors training to become dermatologists may be involved in your care.

The Skin Health Institute is a centre of excellence in dermatology and all Victorian dermatology registrars undertake their training at the Institute. These highly qualified dermatology registrars will be working closely with, and overseen by, senior consultant dermatologists, many of whom are regarded as world-leaders in their specialty.

PATIENT INFORMATION 

referrals

Most clinics at the Institute require a referral from a specialist dermatologist.

The following clinics can be referred directly by a GP:

Genetics, GrenzRay/Radiotherapy, Atopic Dermatitis, Hyperhidrosis, Laser, Skin Cancer Assessment Clinics and Melanoma, Skasses, Transplant/Immunosuppressed, PDT, Ionto, Aesthetics, Occupational Dermatitis and PUVA.

If you do not have a valid referral, you will incur greater out-of-pocket charges.
