S3.E4: Cutaneous drug reactions
In this episode, we explore cutaneous drug reactions with guest expert Dr Michelle Goh. We cover the benign to the severe, potentially life-threatening, ways in which these can present. We discuss the pathophysiology behind different drug reactions, common drug culprits, assessment for severity and how the different drug reactions may be managed.
Dr Michelle Goh is a consultant dermatologist at the Skin Health Institute. She also works in several public hospitals, including the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Austin Health, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Alfred Health.
Her areas of interest are complex skin cancers especially in patients who are immunosuppressed, cutaneous adverse reactions to drugs including immunotherapy, and biologics therapy in inflammatory skin disease.
